Georgia and Helvetica
Georgia and Helvetica are two classic fonts used in everyday design. Helvetica is a sans-serif font created by Max Miedinger in 1957. Miedinger wanted to create a sans-serif typeface that could compete with others in use at the time. Georgia is a serif typeface created by Matthew Carter in 1993. Carter came up with the font name because of a tabloid headline that exclaimed “Alien Heads Found in Georgia.”
